Habanero sauce

This has to be the simplest habanero sauce recipe there is. Just toss everything into a tinfoil packet, cook, blend and serve!

Ingredients

  • 3 Habanero peppers
  • 3 Roma tomatoes cut in half
  • 2 cloves garlic peeled
  • 1/4 medium onion
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients, along with a generous pinch of salt, on a large piece of aluminum foil and make a sealed packet. 
  2. Cook at medium heat on a comal, or in a frying pan, for about 20 minutes.
  3. Allow to cool and place contents in a blender, blending to the consistency you like, from chunky to smooth.
