Welcome to Zandoyo, a traditional bed and breakfast offering quality accommodation in Puerto Escondido for nearly 10 years.
We invite you to choose from five guest rooms, four double rooms with queen beds and a single. All rooms are equipped with ceiling fans and air conditioning, showers with hot water, and free WiFi.
Our rooms are furnished with quality mattresses and bedding, towels for bathroom and beach and soap and shampoo.
A full Mexican-themed breakfast is included in your stay. The fixed menu changes daily and features a wide range of dishes prepared with quality ingredients, sourced locally when possible.
For guests who wish to prepare other meals we have a fully-equipped shared kitchen near the pool terrace.

Guest room amenities
Air conditioning/Ceiling fan
All the rooms at Zandoyo have minisplit air conditioning units and ceiling fans. The need for a/c is less critical in the winter months and for many guests the fan is sufficient. But the spring, May in particular, can be hot. Because many people find it difficult to sleep with the a/c on, we recommend turning it on for an hour or two before going to bed. Or set it at 25 or 26 C and enable the sleep function. It will run more slowly as the night progresses.
Private bathrooms
Every room is equipped with a full bathroom: walk-in shower, sink and toilet, and solar-heated hot water. Our solar energy system produces very hot water but being situated on the second-story roof it can take a few minutes to arrive in your shower.
Housekeeping service
Full housekeeping service is provided every three or four days but we are happy to clean your room any time you wish.
Internet
Our Starlink satellite internet connection provides fairly consistent download speeds of 50 to 100 Mbps and upload speeds that are only slightly lower. the WiFi signal is strong throughout most of the property. Note that cellular service in Puerto Escondido is generally bad.
Shared outdoor kitchen
The fully-equipped kitchen is located in a covered area adjacent to the pool terrace. It has a gas cooktop stove, a refrigerator big enough to store food for all our guest rooms, several appliances and dishes and cooking utensils. There is also a Weber gas grill.
Laundry
Next-day laundry service is provided for a fee for guests staying four nights or longer.
USB chargers
Most rooms have combination USB chargers and surge protected electrical outlets, a must during the rainy season when electrical storms are common.
Complimentary breakfast
Guests are served a full breakfast seven days a week. Our menu changes daily and features variations on Mexican dishes. (See our gallery of breakfast dishes here.) A fresh fruit drink, a fruit bowl and coffee or tea are included. Any dietary restrictions? Just let us know. Breakfast is served at 9 a.m. but we can adjust the schedule for guests taking the marine tour or those with work-related appointments. However, breakfast at a traditional B&B is a special event, an opportunity to meet other travelers and enjoy lively and fun conversation. Zandoyo Bed & Breakfast is no different!
