About Zandoyo
Zandoyo Bed & Breakfast is located in the heart of Bacocho, one of Puerto Escondido’s most attractive residential areas, and is the home of Canadian expat Tony Richards.
Zandoyo is a traditional Bed & Breakfast and offers guests a more personalized service than found in most hotels. Zandoyo has five guest rooms, all with ensuites and air conditioning, and serves a full breakfast seven days a week.
Originally from Canada, Tony has lived in Puerto Escondido for more than 15 years. His interests include cooking and music and welcoming guests from around the world to one of Mexico’s best beach towns. Assistant Manager Sol Noyola was born in Puerto Escondido and has lived here most of her life apart from five years she spent in France, where she developed a taste for French cuisine. Sol has worked in the hotel and restaurant industry for 25 years and she too enjoys cooking and making new friends.
Both Tony and Sol enjoy interacting with their guests, particularly at breakfast, and many who arrive as strangers leave as friends.
Zandoyo’s location has been cited by many visitors as one of its top features. Three beaches — Carrizalillo, Coral and Bacocho — are nearby, as is the Rinconada, a commercial area where you can find some of Puerto Escondido’s best restaurants. Several cafes, a yoga center and a gym are also within a few blocks of Zandoyo and the town center is just a 20-minute walk away.
